I recently received the BA STAR Smoky Eye Shadow Palette in Natural to try, and I am so excited to share it with you!  I absolutely love eye shadows because you can do so many different looks with just a few shades.  I am always on the look out for new and interesting eye shadows, and I’m so glad that I got the chance to try out these shadows.

BA STAR offers a large selection of products ranging from cosmetics to hair accessories.  They have a little bit of everything, such as mascara, blush, lip products, and more!  If you haven’t heard of them before, then you’ll definitely want to check out their site since these products don’t seem to be available in drugstores.

The BA STAR Smoky Eye Shadow Palettes are available in four color combinations:  Smoky, Natural, Pretty N Pink, and True Blue.  Each palette contains 3 pigmented, solid shadows and 2 gel glitter shadows.  They retail for $8.75.

I received the Natural color combination, which is perfect for me because I love wearing neutral colors for most days.

In the Natural palette, there are some absolutely gorgeous colors!  From left to right:

• A coppery shade with a metallic sheen.    
• A deep brown shade with a slight bronze, metallic sheen.
• A pearly champagne shade with a sheen.  This shadow is a little bit chalky compared to the others.
• A gold gel glitter shade with tons of glitter in each swipe.
• A multi-colored silvery white gel glitter shade.  The color for this shadow is very difficult to describe, and the closest I could think of to call this color would be holographic.  The glitter in this shade seems to be less densely packed in than the gold glitter.

All of the eyeshadows in this palette are fairly pigmented and easy to apply.  You might have to apply several layers to get the colors to be highly pigmented on your eyelid.  If you want to achieve intense pigmentation with these shadows, you could easily use an eyelid primer.

The solid shadows are very soft and they have an average amount of fall out.  I think the solid shades in this palette are very wearable, especially for an easy, everyday look that still has a punch to it.  The 2 gel glitters in this palette are also very easy to apply to your eyelid with your fingers, and they would add an extra dimension to any eye look.  I wouldn’t wear the glitters everyday, but they would be perfect to add some flair to an eye look for Halloween or parties.

Overall, I would recommend the BA STAR Smoky Eye Palettes, especially in the Natural color combination.  The solid shadows are very pretty, apply well, and easy to use for an everyday look.  The gel glitters are like an added bonus because they would be perfect for rare occasions when you really want to dress up and stand out.
